In order to ensure receipt of salaries through treasury, All Pakistan Local Government Workers Federation (APLGWF) Sindh chapter will go on strike from November 29 across the province.
This was announced by APLGWF Sindh General Secretary Muhammad Akram Rajput on Wednesday while addressing a press conference at Hyderabad press club.
Rajput said despite approval of summary by the Sindh Chief Minister, the local government employees had not been paid their salaries through treasury due to which they were not receiving actual amount of their salaries.
He alleged that local government officers were charging bribes on monthly basis by paying less than the actual amount to the employees in respect of their salaries while salaries of those who raise voice were being stopped by assigning different reasons.
He demanded for inclusion of union council staff into Sindh Council Unified Grade Services (SCUG) or Sindh local government department and all their funds must be shifted to LG department.
The employees of Karachi Development Authority, Malir Develoment Authority, Hyderabad Development Authority,Sehwan Development Authority (SDA) and Larkana Development Authority (LDA) are part of Sindh local government department and their salaries should be paid to them through treasury, Rajput said.
