Strict action: Police ASI suspended for beating child

Boy arrested by the police on the charge of kidnapping his classmate and was beaten till he lost consciousness.

SUKKUR: The Ghotki SSP suspended the assistant superintendent police, Parvez Shar, and ordered an inquiry against him for allegedly severely beating 15-year-old boy. Shah Zaib had been arrested by the police on the charge of kidnapping his classmate and was beaten till he lost consciousness. Shah Zaib’s father, Amanullah Gill, said that his son was framed. However, the Ghotki SSP, Pir Mohammad Shah, has appointed police welfare officer, Hafiz Abdul Qadir Chachar, as the inquiry officer. He has been directed to report within three days.
