Asim accused of sheltering alleged terrorists, providing treatment to them

A special anti-terrorism court, while granting Dr Asim's request to go abroad for treatment, issued notices for the production of witnesses through the Rangers DG. 

Dr Asim has been accused of sheltering alleged terrorists and providing treatment to them. The case was heard before a Karachi-based special ATC on Saturday. Dr Asim, Anis Qaimkhani, Wasim Akhtar and others appeared in the case. Qadir Patel did not appear due to the ongoing assembly session.

The court granted Dr Asim's request to go abroad. Rangers' prosecutors and witnesses did not appear. The court was told that the Rangers prosecutor was on leave till December 10. The court issued notices through the DG Rangers and directed relevant authorities to produce witnesses at the next hearing.
