ISLAMABAD:

Amjad, an employee of Therapy Works has filed a private complaint against Investigation Officer (IO) Abdul Sattar and Zahir Jaffer, the prime suspect in the Noor Muqqadam murder case, seeking proceedings against both of them.

Amjad, one of the suspects in the case had lodged a private complaint with Kohsar area magistrate Shoaib Akhtar, who referred it to the court of Additional Sessions Judge Atta Rabbani where it would be heard on Saturday (today).

Additional Sessions Judge Atta Rabbani will record statements of witnesses Dr Wafiq Riaz of Therapy Works, Dilip Kumar, Samar Abbas and Abdul Haq in the private complaint. The lawyer of the Therapy Works will present his arguments on Saturday after which the court will decide upon the maintainability of the complaint.

The complainant has maintained that the investigation officer declared them suspects instead of witnesses in the Noor Muqqadam murder case to benefit the prime suspect. He has contended that the investigation officer did not get his blood-stained clothes or the medical certificate.

The complainant has alleged that the investigation officer colluded with Zahir Jaffer, who had fired at him with a 9mm pistol. After that, Zahir Jaffer attacked him.

Amjad has contended that workers of the Therapy Works took him to the hospital and informed the Kohsar police.
