Secretary orders regular submission of performance reports

Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Secretary Imran Sikander Baloch has strictly instructed officials of provincial health programmes to improve their performance to help meet development goals.

The provincial secretary reviewed the performance of Punjab AIDS Control Programme, Integrated Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (IRMNCH) Programme and Policy & Strategic Planning Unit (PSPU) and called for improvement of their performance.

While reviewing the different programmes organised by the departments, he said, "The heads of all these departments must submit their performance reports regularly in my office.”

He said the project director of Punjab AIDS Control Programme should actively take steps to propagate awareness regarding the disease.

"Immediate hiring for the vacancies in the IRMNCH should be done to improve the performance of the project. No negligence will be tolerated in the process of providing refined facilities of health to the general public," he added.

“These departments and all of their programmes are purely for the benefit of the people and we will leave no stone unturned to make it possible.
