It is imperative for Pakistan to strengthen the existing infrastructure at container terminals in order to achieve the ambitious goal of developing a blue economy, said Federal Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati.
Visiting Hutchison Ports Pakistan to observe progress on the newly laid railway tracks, the minister said that the port and shipping sector was surging worldwide.
Expressing confidence and satisfaction over the port’s operational capabilities, the minister acknowledged that the terminal was contributing productively to the national growth.
Hutchison Ports Pakistan General Manager and Head of Business Unit Captain Syed Rashid Jamil briefed the minister about the seamless end-to-end logistic services.
