Police catch bank van heist suspect
Police on Friday claimed to have arrested the main suspect who had robbed Rs200 million from a cash van on II Chandrigar Road in August.
According to SSP City Sarfraz Nawaz more than 12 suspects have been arrested earlier in the case and police have recovered more than Rs25 million cash, gold and luxury vehicles from them.
He said that on August 9 a security guard, Hussain Shah, fled with the cash van of a bank. The van contained more than Rs200 million rupees.
The Methadar police registered a case and started investigation. More than a dozen suspects, including a woman, were arrested at different times during operations in different parts of Karachi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Police said they were interrogating Hussain Shah.

Moreover, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Karachi Police on Friday claimed to have arrested six suspects allegedly involved in robbing over Rs1 million from an office of Ehsas Kafalat Cash Programme in Gulshan-e-Iqbal earlier this year.
Police seized illegal weapons, motorcycles and other from the suspects identified as Zulfiqar Ali alias Zulfi, Ayaz Ahmed, Farooq, Tahir Abbas, Ramzan and Amir, said SSP SIU Arif Aziz.
He said the suspects were involved in a number of street crimes and robberies.
