The grouping following the defeat in the cantonment board elections has taken a toll on the political activities of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Rawalpindi.
The offices of MPAs and MNAs of PTI in Rawalpindi present a deserted look these days.
Lal Haveli, the residence of Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, has left as the sole centre of political activities for the politicians belonging to treasury benches.
The restoration of local bodies in Rawalpindi dominated by elected representatives of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the price hike has created problems for the lawmakers of PTI and they were facing difficulties to continue their political activities.

Meanwhile, the defeat in the cantonment board elections and the grouping within the PTI at the district level and sacking of PTI district president Shehryar Riaz and city president Raja Muhammad Ali has widened cracks in the ruling party as well.
The influx of citizens to sort out issues is on the rise in the joint public secretariat of Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and PTI MNA Sheikh Rashid Shafiq at Lal Haveli.
The supporters of the PTI office-bearers who have been sacked said that defiance of constitutional way was a violation of party discipline.
Sources in the PTI said that the party cannot expect good results in the next local bodies' elections after the poor results in the cantonment elections if the matters were not resolved.
