After defeating India and New Zealand, the Pakistani Cricket team went ahead and scored their third consecutive win in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 against Afghanistan. Even though the match was incredibly unpredictable with the opponent team’s seamless fielding and bowling attacks, Pakistanis have all the reasons to gloat about last night’s win.
Pakistan chased down a 148-run target in 19 overs to record their third T20 win, but the chase wasn't easy at all. The required run rate was more than ten after the 18th over and the win was highly unlikely with wickets going down in each over. However, Asif Ali, with his confidence and immense talent, became the hero for Pakistan once again. The finisher smashed four hard sixes and chased 25 runs in the penultimate over bowled by Afghanistan’s Karim Janat.
Nevertheless, Afghanistan put up a great fight and made this one of the toughest out of the three matches played. Last night’s game had everyone on their toes and Pakistani twitter documented the emotional rollercoaster brilliantly with their top-notch meme game.
