Woman, son crushed to death by train
A pregnant women and her five-year-old son were run over by a train while trying to cross a railway track on Friday.
Reportedly, Nadeem Ahmad, a resident of Chak No 7 GB Nalka Kohala Sargodha Road, along with his eight-month pregnant wife Rubina Bibi, 21 and a five-year-old son Zain Ali were going to visit his sister-in-law in Sahiyanwala area 153 RB Bharoki.
As the railway crossing gate was closed, Nadeem took his wife and son off his motorcycle and crossed the railway track. While crossing railway track, the minor boy was left behind. When his wife went back to take her son, the train coming from Faisalabad hit them. Consequently, Rubina Bibi and her son fell under the train and died on the spot.
Police reached the scene and the bodies were handed over to the heirs after legal formalities.

Dozens of villagers gathered on the site of the accident soon after the news of the tragic incident spread. Incidents of death by train were not uncommon in the province.
On February 10, a 55-year-old man died while crossing a railway line near 7-UP Railway Crossing in Gulberg, Lahore.
Reportedly, the victim, identified as Saaduddin, a resident of Ittehad Colony, was returning home after offering morning prayers. While crossing railway lines, a train hit him.
The victim fell down and sustained injuries. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. On September 6, two women and a man were crushed to death by trains while crossing railway tracks in Kala Shah Kaku and Renala Khurd.
In Renala Khurd, two women, Nooran Bibi and Waziran Bibi, were hit by a train going from Lahore to Karachi. The victims, who were residents of Depalpur, were crossing the tracks while returning home after visit their relative Muhammad Abbas, a resident of Lehrasib Town. Both of them died on the spot.
