Police catch alleged wife killer
Police have arrested the man who had allegedly killed his wife by first throwing acid on her and the stabbing her multiple times in front of her three children.
Ishaq Pathan, charged with of brutally killing his wife, was arrested by the Surjani Town police in August 2020.
According to SSP West Sohai Aziz Talpur, the suspect has confessed to his crime during interrogation. The case was registered at the Pakistan Bazar Police Station on the complaint of the victim's father.
Surjani Town police have handed over Pathan to Pakistan Bazaar police aftter completing legal formalities, SSP Talpur said.
The suspect had gone into hiding in the Kohat district area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He came back to Karachi to settle some monetary issues when he was identified and arrested.
Meanwhile, Orangi Town police, acting on a tip-off, arrested three suspects Usman Rafiq Ahmed, Gulfam Munir Ali Khan and Zakir. Illegal weapons, 20 snatched mobile phones, cash and a used motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects.

Arrested accused Zakir is also an expert in unlocking and changing IMEI of snatched mobile phones at the rate of Rs.500 per mobile. The arrested suspects snatched Rs.900,000 cash and mobile phones from citizen Wali Muhammad Khan and his brother and fled from Main Highway, Orangi Road on October 4.
Case crime No. 1175/2021 of the incident is registered in Orangi Police Station on the complaint of the victim under sections 392/397/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The mobile phones recovered from the accused included the mobile phone snatched from citizen Wali Muhammad Khan and his brother.
During interrogation, the suspects revealed that the recovered mobile phones were snatched at gunpoint from different areas of West and Kemari districts.
