Paedophile confesses to his crime during investigation

The Rawalpindi police have arrested the killer of a 10-year-old boy who was also raped in Gulzar-e-Quaid area in the precincts of the Airport police station. The paedophile, Shaukat, has confessed to his crime during the investigation.

The police officials said they recovered the naked body of 10-year-old Sanaullah from the shrubs near the railway track in the area.

Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer (RPO) was directed by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to submit a report of the incident.

The police had received the complaint about the missing boy on Tuesday evening after which it obtained the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the area.

It spotted the suspect with the child the videos after which he was held.

The police reached the site where the minor’s body was dumped by the offender and also summoned forensic experts for the collection of evidence.

The police officials said they recovered important evidence from the crime scene and also included the CCTV footage as evidence in the case.

They said that the death cause will be ascertained after the post-mortem report while a case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s mother. The suspect confessed that he had killed the child owing to a family feud.

The City Police Officer Ahsan Younas said the brutal murder of an innocent child is regrettable. He assured all legal requirements will be met to get the accused sentenced.

Further, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has summoned a report from Regional Police Officer Imran Ahmar. The chief minister expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family.
