Minor boy ‘sexually assaulted’

In separate incidents, a woman was assaulted while a girl thwarted a rape attempt

A minor boy was allegedly sexually assaulted in the city on Saturday.

The nine-year-old boy was raped and abused while a young woman was allegedly raped and a 13-year-old girl thwarted the rape attempt by making noise.

Police registered the cases and started searching for the suspects. Police said a stand had been taken in the case registered by Salma Parveen, daughter of Allah Rakha, a resident of 97RB that her daughter-in-law, aged 20, was at her house when the accused Qasim, son of Yaqub, and Nisar, son of Falak Sher, came to the house.

Salma told the police that the suspects barged into the house and took the complainant’s daughter-in-law and took her to a room where the suspect identified as Qasim allegedly raped her. Moreover, the alleged rapist’s accomplice Ahmed kept guard during the sexual assault incident.

Separately, the minor boy, the son of Mukhtar Ahmed was allegedly molested by unknown assailants on his way to buy grocery in Chak No 76RB, Rasoolpur.
