A molestation attempt was thwarted by a four-year-old girl on Wednesday as per police.
Police said Zain Ali allegedly grabbed four-year-old girl, a resident of Juranwala Road 229RB, with intent of rape.
“The girl cried out loud for help which frightened the assailant and he fled the scene,” a cop told The Express Tribune. In another incident, armed robbers sexually assaulted a married woman at her residence and snatched gold jewellery and mobile phone from her.
According to the police report, the woman, a resident of Samundari Road Chak No 275RB, was sleeping with her children on the roof of her house when three assailants broke into the house and molested her. They also threatened to kill her if she resisted the abuse. The victim, whose husband is abroad for work, was also deprived of her mobile phone and gold earrings during the attack.

The brother of the victim, a resident of Chak No 270RB, lodged a complaint with a police after which the cops arrived on the location to gather evidence.
Police registered case number 1,064 under sections 376 and 392 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against the armed suspects on the statement of woman’s brother.
In yet another abuse case, a woman was allegedly held at gunpoint and raped by a harasser. The victim is a resident of area near Jhang Road 74 JB.
The cops were informed by the victim that she was constantly harassed and blackmailed by Qudratullah, son of Dilshad.
On the day of the incident, she was standing by her door of the house when the armed suspect along with unknown accomplice took her by surprise.
