Sindh Information and Labour Minister Saeed Ghani has said that the NAB ordinance extending the accountability watchdog chairman’s tenure is a “super NRO”.
He added that it served the purpose of those who were part of the “NAB-Niazi nexus” and are “[Prime Minister] Imran Khan’s ATM machines”.
“I would advise Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal that he has only gained notoriety by being the head of NAB so he should resign from the post himself.” Ghani expressed these views during a press conference held at his camp office on Friday. “The NAB ordinance is not only for extending the tenure of its chairman, but everything in it is unconstitutional,” the minister claimed.

Ghani announced that an independent candidate of the Cantonment Board Clifton joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) following his election win, bringing the number of successful PPP candidates in the wards to five out of 10.
The minister hoped that the vice chairmen of three cantonment boards in Karachi, out of a total six, would be from the PPP.
