Three alleged robbers were killed in two separate police encounters in the city on Friday.

Reportedly, Station House Officer (SHO) Sadar Jahanzeb Wattoo along with a police team was patrolling near Kotla Adib Shaheed when the cops signalled three suspects riding a motorcycle to stop. Instead of stopping, the suspects opened fire on the police and tried to escape.

The other two suspects took advantage of the darkness and managed to escape. In exchange for fire, a robber was killed. He was identified as Waseem Kanjan, a resident of Tandlianwala Tehsil. The suspect was wanted by the police of five districts in 48 robberies and attempted murder cases.

SHO Akhtar Khan along with the police force signalled to stop the four suspects on two motorcycles near Canal LBDC who tried to escape.
