Punjab Traffic Police has decided to extend paperless driving licence system across the province.
DIG Traffic Police Punjab Sohail Akhtar Sukhera has announced that after the success of the pilot project of paperless driving license system in Rawalpindi, the system is now being extended to other cities of Punjab.
“Paperless driving license system is being set up in Faisalabad in next phase,” he added. DIG Traffic also said that the citizens shall enjoy all facilities of driving licence under one roof by this modern project.

Unlike in the past, the driving licence candidate will only bring with him an identity card issued by NADRA and will become part of the system through biometrics.
He further said that in the paperless driving licence system, the candidate would not have to take the file and fill it up, nor would he have to go around the shopkeepers to take pictures for attaching on the file.
Similarly, there will be no need to go at the post office for driving licence tickets.
