Police register case, launch hunt for suspects

A young girl coming from Lahore to Okara was allegedly gang-raped by a rickshaw driver along with two unidentified accomplices within the limits of Hujra Shah Muqeem police station.

The alleged gang-rape of the girl was confirmed in medical report. Police registered a case against one named and two unidentified accused and started raids to arrest the alleged rapists.

DPO took stern notice of the incident and formed a committee headed by DSP Depalpur and ordered immediate arrest of the accused.

According to the police report, an 18-year-old daughter of Mushtaq son of Ahmad Din, a resident of Basti Noor Elahi area of Hujra Shah Muqeem police station Okara was working in Defence area of Lahore.

Two days ago, Anam boarded a bus to return home from Lahore and landed at Qila Sondha Singh area of Okara where a rickshaw driver named Zeeshan was present in his three-wheeler.

The young girl asked to go home in the rickshaw. The rickshaw driver took the girl to a nearby camp instead of taking her to her village where two unidentified persons were present.

The suspect Zeeshan first sexually assaulted the girl then his two accomplices gang-raped her and the accused fled the crime scene after the young girl made noise. A Hujra Shah Muqeem police team had registered a case against Zeeshan and his two unidentified accused and started raids to arrest the accused.

According to Hujra SHO Imran Tipu, the alleged gang-rape of the young girl had been confirmed in the medical report.

Police had launched raids to nab the culprits. On the other hand, DPO Faisal Gulzar took notice of the alleged gang-rape of the girl, formed a police party under the supervision of DSP Depalpur Shabbir Warraich and ordered to immediate arrest of the accused.

Police arrested Zeeshan and his two accomplices from Lahore. DSP Shabbir Warraich had confirmed the arrest of the accused.

On September 25, a teenage girl working for a phone company franchise was raped by her boss after she was abducted by her colleagues in Chak Jhumra.
