The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is a Pakistani higher education institution which holds the most dignified and prominent position globally because of its unique strengths and credibility in online education.
Therefore, US Mission feels pride in collaborating with AIOU to promote quality higher education in Pakistan.
This was stated by Phillip Assis, Deputy Cultural Affairs Officer at US Embassy Islamabad. He was speaking at the closing ceremony of 8- Months E-Learning Training Programme jointly offered by AIOU and United States Educational Foundation Pakistan (USEFP).

He added AIOU was principally selected for this training programme based on its unique educational facilities, academic expertise, and digitalization of its key academic and administrative operations.
AIOU Vice Chancellor Dr Ziaul Qayyum said that digitalisation was his primary aim, which the university achieved on the priority basis.
