‘Target killer’ apprehended

Police also claim to have recovered a weapon from the suspect's possession

MUZAFFARGARH:

City police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a target killer and recovered a weapon from his possession during a raid near Iqbal Chowk.

According to police spokesman, the Alipur police raided near Iqbal Chowk and arrested Aqeel with an illegal weapon and motorcycle.

During interrogation, the target killer told the cops that he was hired by Razzaq, resident of Alipur city, for target killing Abid, a fruit shop owner at Iqbal Chowk.

The police then arrested Razzaq, who stated before the cops that he had contacted Akram, a resident of Gawadar, to hire a target killer to murder Abid.
