RAJANPUR:

A gardener received a salute from District and Sessions Judge Rajanpur Ibrahim Asghar on the last day of his service in Rajanpur on Friday.

Sources said Abdul Khaliq, lovingly addressed as Mali Chacha [gardener uncle] by the staff, did not anticipate that the staff would give a VIP farewell to him.

He stated the salute was more valuable than his lifetime’s earning and receiving such a reward for his hard work was beyond his imagination. The well-loved grade 4 employee was known to hold high standards of work ethic and dedication.

District and Sessions Judge Rajanpur Ibrahim Asghar told The Express Tribune that Abdul Khaliq, posted in the sessions court, was exemplary at his duty.

“He diligently took care of the environment and planted eye-catching flowers and trees in the court premises. His services cannot be ignored and deserve a salute,” Asghar maintained.

He added that the VIP farewell would incentivise others employees to work hard.

Official sources revealed that the gardener was given a standing ovation by the entire staff of the sessions court after which he was saluted by Judge Asghar.
