An armed man barged into a house in the Sirai Saleh area and assaulted women in the house, including an elderly woman over a property dispute on Saturday.
Saddar police have registered a case against the suspect, who is an influential person in the area, on the complaint of the victim’s son, Rafaqat Khan. Khan told the media outside the trauma centre they were building a new house on personal property and the suspect named Aurangzeb was trying to break the door lock of the under-construction house when his elderly mother reached there.

The suspect started quarreling with her when she stopped him and then he twisted her hand. Khan added that also harassed three other women besides threatening them with a pistol.
He also threw bricks at them, one of which hit the elderly woman, he said. The police have started conducting raids to book the suspect after the registration of FIR.
