Actor Ayeza Khan recently took to Instagram to celebrate reaching 10 million followers on the app. The Meray Paas Tum Ho star is currently the most-followed Pakistani celebrity on Instagram. Posting a picture of herself in a pink t-shirt and jean jacket, Ayeza wrote, “We are 10 million followers strong today. Love my little fandom. Thank you guys so much for your love”
The actor also shared a picture of herself as a cartoon, holding a heart that reads “10 M”.
Earlier this year, Ayeza dethroned actor Aiman Khan as the most-followed Pakistani celebrity on Instagram. In December, both the artists had 7.8 million followers, but Aiman was also included in Forbes' list of Asia's 100 Digital Stars alongside Mahira Khan and Atif Aslam.
To mark the achievement, Ayeza thanked her fans but asserted that she wasn’t focused on numbers. “Thank you guys so much for the love and respect! It is exciting to have such a huge number of followers on here. But I must say that the only reason I am able to celebrate this today is that I know how hard I worked to achieve whatever I have,” wrote the actor.
She added in the note, “Growing number of followers doesn’t guarantee a long term success if you’re hollow from inside. There is a reason why someone with a few thousand followers on Instagram can have more influence on people than someone with tons of millions of followers. Please don’t be that fool that runs after numbers.”
