MULTAN:

Out-of-school children especially those assisting mechanics in workshop will be taught for three hours in the morning under an initiative launched by South Punjab Education Department.

A well-placed source in the education department told APP on Sunday that Provincial Education minister Murad Ras would launch the initiative on September 8 at Govt Pilot Secondary School.

Initially, two schools will be engaged for this purpose, one for primary schooling while the second for higher classes.

The students will be taught from 7am to 10am to facilitate kids in acquiring education while pursuing their jobs.

“We have worked very hard to convince parents of young kids employed as mechanics’ helpers to enrol their kids in these special schools.”
