Two police officials succumb to injuries

The personnel had gotten injured in two separate incidents.

Two police officers, who were injured in two separate incidents, breathed their last on Saturday.

On August 12, traffic warden, Muhammad Shafqat, was hit by a vehicle of a sensitive agency on Airport Road while Assistant Sub-Inspector, Adeel Bashir, was burnt in a fire caused by a short-circuit at Murree Chowki.

The police officials said the funeral prayer of the martyred was offered at Police Lines Headquarters. Regional Police Officer Imran Ahmar and other officials attended the funeral prayers.

Shafqat was under treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Khariyan. Further, ASI Adeel Bashir was recruited by the police department as a constable in 2010. His funeral prayer was offered in Rehmatabad in Chaklala.
