Four personnel martyred in two Balochistan blasts

Attacks in Ziarat and Panjgur on security forces’ vehicles leaves six others injured

Four security personnel were martyred in two separate blasts in Balochistan on Thursday.

Three Levies personnel were martyred in a bomb attack on a security forces’ vehicle in Ziarat while one official in an explosion near their vehicle in the Guargu area of Panjgur.

According to the Levies spokesperson, the attack was carried out by terrorists in Ziarat, where a security forces vehicle was blown up. Three Levies personnel were killed and as many others were injured in the blast.

District administration and Levies officials reached the spot after the blast.

The injured and the bodies were shifted to the hospital.

According to the spokesperson, terrorists bombed a security forces’ vehicle, killing one official and injuring three others.

Officials said a large contingent of police and security forces arrived at the scene and rushed the injured and martyred to the hospital, while search operation was launched in the area.

Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau strongly condemned the blast on the Levies unit in Ziarat.

The home minister sought a report of the incident from the concerned authorities.

"The series of operations against anti-social elements should continue more effectively," the minister said.

He said that in the current situation, law enforcement agencies and their affiliates need to be more active than usual.

"Maintaining public safety and law and order is the primary responsibility of the provincial government," he said. "We will never neglect our responsibility.”

Langau said security forces made everlasting sacrifices in the war on terror and the entire nation salutes them for it.
