At least 11 people were killed whereas 947 were injured in 905 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the past 24 hours.
Out of the total injured victims, 560 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals across the province whereas, 387 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site.
The majority of road accidents, around 67 per cent, involved motorcycles.
Furthermore, the analysis showed that 387 drivers, 46 underage drivers, 99 pedestrians, and 472 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes.

The statistics showed that 254 RTCs were reported in Lahore, which affected 253 persons, placing the provincial capital at the top of the list followed by Faisalabad with 74 road crashes and 78 victims and Gujranwala at third with 54 RTCs and 54 victims.
The details further revealed that 958 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 779 male & 179 female victims. The age group of the victims showed that 191 victims were under 18 years of age, 510 were between 18 and 40 years and the rest of the 257 victims were reported to be above 40 years of age.
According to the data, 786 motorcycles, 107 auto rickshaws, 87 motorcars, 26 vans, seven passenger buses and 25 trucks were involved in aforesaid road traffic accidents.
