Mentally challenged minor girl ‘sexually assaulted’

Victim was playing outside her house when suspect lured her into his shop

A mentally challenged minor girl was sexually assaulted by an old man in Harbancepura on Wednesday.

Suspect Rasheed alias Sheeda had set up a scrape dealers shop. Reportedly, he had a habit of ogling at minor girls. On the day of the incident, he spotted the victim playing in the street and lured girl into his shop and sexually assaulted her.

When the family came to know, they informed the police about the incident.

The suspect has been arrested and a case has been registered against him. Police said that they were investigating the matter.

The same day, a case of murder of a woman over domestic violence and three cases of sexual harassment and assault were reported in the provincial capital.

In Green Town, a suspect stabbed his wife to death over a domestic dispute. Victim Kiran was married to his cousin Shahzad for seven years. The couple had no children from their wedlock. On the day of the incident, the suspect’s sister served food to the couple.

After some time, the family heard the screams of the victim. When they entered the room, they found her in a pool of blood. The suspect had stabbed her brutally. She was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced her as brought dead. Police removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and were investigating the matter further. The suspect after the incident was on run.

Two suspects had harassed four women in Factory Area on Wednesday. Reportedly, they had hurled a mobile-theft allegation on the women visiting a market and attempted physical frisking. When the victims resisted, he hurled threats, abuses at them. Police have arrested them and were investigating the matter.

Johar Town investigations police arrested a suspected proclaimed offender involved in sexually assaulting his teenage stepdaughter. The suspect identified as Maqbool had sexually assaulted the victim for six months.

When five months back she got pregnant, the suspect fled. A case was registered against him and the suspect was on run. Police arrested him on Wednesday and were investigating the matter further.

A 12-year-old girl survived a molestation attempt in Kot Lakhpat on Wednesday. The victim reportedly was visiting a nearby shop to buy things. The suspected shopkeeper Umair Arshad attempted sexual assault on her. Police have arrested the suspect and were investigating the matter.
