According to police officials, Shakir was heading home after returning from a market when armed men on motorbikes sprayed him with bullets, killing him instantly on Hospital Road. He was rushed to civil hospital where he was officially pronounced dead.
“As many as four journalists in Khuzdar have been killed during the last two years,” local journalists said.
