President invites Turkish investors

President Alvi asks them to take advantage of the Pakistani government's business-friendly policies

KARACHI:

President Arif Alvi has invited Turkish entrepreneurs to invest in banking, mining, tourism and other profitable business sectors in the country.

The president extended this invitation in a meeting with top Turkish corporate leaders including the CEO of Arçelik, the parent company of Dawlance Pakistan Pvt Ltd, during his recent visit to Turkey.

Arçelik is the second-biggest home appliance manufacturer in Europe, which had acquired the Pakistani home appliance manufacturer in 2016, and is by far the biggest Turkish investment in Pakistan.

The president invited Turkish investors and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the Pakistani government's business-friendly policies.

Arçelik CEO Hakan Hamdi Bulgurlu said emerging economies like Pakistan are on the verge of growth as the demand for home appliances and energy go hand in hand leading to the depletion of natural resources.
