Man strangles sister-in-law for ‘honour’ in Lodhran
A man strangled his sister-in-law in the name of honor and dumped her body in a sewerage well in Lodhran.
The victim was a mother of five. A case of murder was registered against five persons in Dhanut police station on the complaint of the victim's father.
Police arrested the main accused Allah Ditta, while raids are being carried out to nab the other suspects.
According to sources, Rab Nawaz, a resident of Basti Kanjuwala, informed Dhanut police that his daughter Tahira Bibi, who was 31 years old, got married 10 years ago and had five children. He said the victim's relationship with her in-laws was not good.

“Some time ago, I managed reconciliation between my daughter and her in-laws. On August 6, Allah Rakha, Allah Ditta, Tahira Bibi and her children had gone to Badhan Shah to attend the wedding of Muhammad Abbas. The next day at nine o'clock in the night Allah Ditta, Allah Rakha, Abdul Rehman, Pappu, and Muhammad Abbas came home. After that, my daughter could not be found at home,” said Nawaz. The victim's father said that when he asked Allah Ditta about his daughter, he kept lying.
According to police, he later cast as persons about the woman's character. Allah Rakha along with his accomplices Abdul Mannan, Pappu and Muhammad Abbas had strangled the woman to death with a piece of cloth, they alleged. The victim’s father said, he had told the family after their allegations against her, "If you don't want to keep my daughter at home, leave her in Darulaman."
Dhanut police registered a case against five persons and arrested Allah Ditta in view of the complaint.
