Sources say the deceased were killed by a relatives over an old dispute

A man and a teenage boy were shot dead by their opponents in separate incidents in Chak Jhumra on Monday.

According to the police, 35-year-old Aslam Khursheed had a property dispute with his paternal cousins. The suspects, including Yasir and his brother Nasir, opened fire on Aslam, leaving him injured.

He was shifted to a hospital but he succumbed to the injuries. Separately, Nasir Yaseen and others allegedly opened fire on 15-year-old Mohammed Javed and injured him. Javed was shifted to the Civil Hospital in Samundri where he succumbed to the injuries.

Mamu Kanjan police reached the spot and took the body into custody. The police registered a case against the suspects under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and conducted raids at some places to arrest them.

According to the sources, the deceased was shot dead by one of his close relatives over an old dispute. Earlier this year in May, at least three people were killed in separate incidents due to old enmities in Dijkot.

According to police, 40-year-old Atif Saeed was severely injured when suspects including Jawad Naseer and Badar Bhola opened fire on him to avenge a children's quarrel.
