Independence Day is right around the corner and it’s really nice to see brands and corporations making an effort to deck their halls in green. In the flood of Independence Day campaigns, there is one corporation that has stood out the most, and that is HABIBMETRO Bank. HABIBMETRO’s messaging this 14th August hasn't just been another message, instead it shows the spirit of the national anthem and their unparalleled patriotism.
The Bank has partnered with I AM KARACHI (IAK) to create a unique and remarkably beautiful mural on Hoshang Road. Standing at a busy thoroughfare, the mural features a map of Pakistan made of different culturally prominent motifs and patterns. In an effort to promote the craft of local artisans, the mural, embodies HABIBMETRO's recent Independence Day communication that inspires Pakistanis to understand the meaning of our national anthem.
The DVC features the ever-legendary Anwar Maqsood, Pakistan’s most celebrated, multi-talented and unrivalled scriptwriter, television presenter, satirist, and humorist, to present a much-needed, unique message. We all have grown up singing our hearts out to the lyrics of the national anthem, but most of us hardly understand its real meaning and significance. This Independence Day, HABIBMETRO went the extra mile and engaged children of special needs from multiple institutions such as the IDA RIEU Welfare Association, Deaf Reach, and Karachi Down Syndrome Program to create a message that beautifully reeks of inclusivity.
From including different professions to ethnicities, genders, religions, and other things that sometimes divide humanity, the incredibly inspiring DVC takes us on a journey that teaches us an important message about inclusivity. It manifests that minorities are not only a critical part of Pakistan’s national flag, they’re critical to the success and well-being of the entire nation because each Pakistani, regardless of their religion, culture, gender, or ethnicity, collectively helps make Pakistan what it is today- truly incredible.
Let's celebrate our glorious Independence day not just by reciting, but understanding the true spirit and essence of our national anthem.
Pakistan Zindabad!
