80% of land acquired for LDA city project

65% of development work on Jinnah Sector completed

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has acquired over 80% of land for LDA City (Jinnah Sector) and over 65% of development work has been completed.

During the visit to the project site on Tuesday, LDA Director General Ahmad Aziz Tarar reviewed land acquisition status and progress on the development works. LDA Chief Engineer Mazhar Hussain Khan briefed the LDA DG about the current status of different development activities.

LDA DG said it is a mega project having great significance for the city. The authority wants to deliver plots to investors by next year. Development works are underway in six packages and more than 65% of development works have been completed.

He directed officials concerned and contractors to complete water, gas, electricity and other utility works in two months and remaining development works at the earliest. All available resources should be utilised for quick land acquisition and early completion of development works.

To facilitate investors, especially overseas Pakistanis, the authority has already introduced an online banking facility for payments of LDA City.

Citizens can use their banks’ mobile apps or ATMs to make a deposit of their dues through the 1Bill option without making any additional fee. After which they will also get a confirmation message on their phone.
