Popular star Ayeza Khan has hit back on trolls who are called her out on sharing her vaccination certificate on social media. The Chupke Chupke star, along with her husband Danish Taimoor, took to Instagram and posted their Covid vaccination certificate. Her post was met with criticism from netizens who opined Ayeza was just oversharing.
The Meray Paas Tum Ho actor then took to social media and shared an important note on the importance of getting vaccinated to combat the ongoing pandemic.
When a user wrote, "Is it necessary to announce this [getting vaccinated] to the world," Ayeza hit back. 'Yes, because this is our responsibility as a citizen to get vaccinated and as an influencer, I have to show the world, that yes our lives matter and we have to keep reminding everyone to get themselves vaccinated," she shared.
"The government has imposed lockdown once again, our near and dear are losing their lives once more. The time is not the same, our kids are not going to schools, people are losing their jobs, businesses are shutting down and still we [pretend] that we are unaware. Instead of writing this, please go and get vaccinated. Without showing this certificate, you will not be allowed to go anywhere," Ayeza concluded.
The fourth wave of coronavirus showed no signs of abating as the single-day tally of new cases surpassed the 4,000 level for the first time in two months, while the authorities came close to achieving an ambitious target of administering one million vaccine doses in a day.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the nerve centre of the government’s synchronised effort against the pandemic, the national positivity ratio also reached an alarming 7.8%, the highest level during the ongoing Covid wave.
