In April this year, Maryam Nawaz got tested for Covid-19 after she experienced severe throat pain.
In late March, it emerged that Maryam and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had postponed their political activities for a few days owing to their ill-health.
In a tweet from the PML-N's official account, party spokesperson Marriyum Aurganzeb had said the PML-N leader had high fever and severe pain in her throat, and was hence, suspending her political activities for four days.
