Missing child found dead in fields
A seven-year-old boy was found dead in Mandi Ahmedabad two days after he went missing from his home.
The nude body of the child was found in fields in the same area.
Police suspect that the boy was murdered after sexual assault. Forensic teams collected evidence from the spot where the body was found.
The seven-year-old son of Ijaz, a resident of Karimabad area of Mandi Ahmedabad in Okara, had gone missing from his home two days ago.
The parents of the child kept searching for him and informed the Mandi Ahmedabad police after failing to trace him.
The police registered a case of abduction against unknown suspects and started efforts to trace them and the child.
Meanwhile, some local people informed the police about the presence of the body of a child in crops near Mandi Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

When the police arrived at the spot, they found out that the body was of the missing boy. A heavy contingent of police was called to the spot along with forensic teams to gather evidence.
According to local people, it appeared that the child had been molested before murder because the body was without clothes.
Okara District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shehzad issued orders after the incident for the arrest of the killers at the earliest.
He formed two teams under the supervision of DSP Investigation Shabir Warraich and DSP CIA Meher Yousuf, ordering them to trace the killers and arrest them.
After launching the investigation, Mandi Ahmedabad police detained some people from the area on suspicion of having information about the incident and started questioning them.
DSP Warraich expressed hope while speaking to The Express Tribune that the police would arrest the suspects soon.
The body was taken to a nearby hospital under police supervision, where the postmortem report was awaited till the evening to confirm the cause of the child's death and other details, including whether he had been subjected to sexual assault.
