The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has approved an action plan for the implementation of Industrial Policy 2020 for the revival of sick and closed industrial units in the province. The approval was given in a meeting chaired by K-P Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Monday. The meeting was held to review various aspects of the implementation of industrial policy. The policy recommends different steps for the revival of sick and closed industrial units in the province. The meeting resolved to provide uninterrupted supply of gas and electricity to the industries while taking into account the construction of roads and infrastructure for accessing industrial units. The Industrial Policy 2020 includes 10 economic zones which will be established in 10 years, two Special Economic Zones in the next five years and 19 small industrial estates across the province.
