Three men drown in Haraz division

Police say a young boy from Islamabad died while swimming in the lake's deep water

Three people drowned in the river, lake and pond in the Hazara division during Eidul Azha vacations.

Police said that on the third day of Eid, a young boy from Islamabad, Muhammad Jalal, along with his friends came to Khanpur lake to enjoy the Eid vacation. He died while swimming in the deep water of the lake.

Rescue 1122 Khanpur divers recovered the dead body of Jalal and shifted to Tehsil headquarters hospital Khanpur.

In the second incident, two teenagers of Mardan came to Ghazi Khalo and went swimming on River Indus where both drowned while locals saved and shifted them to Ghazi Hospital where Talha lost life while Khizer recovered.

In another incident, a 16-year-old boy drowned in a pond at village Sandy Sar Mansehra.

A mining company made the pond. Rescue 1122 and locals recovered the body of the boy.

Residents of the village staged a protest against the mining company contractor and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Department of Mines and Minerals and demanded an investigation into the incident.
