He said that the court had also been requested to take up the case on a priority basis. Dr Gill said that if police had received timely information, possibly, the life of Noor could have been saved.

He said such cases should properly be investigated to the logical conclusion so that the culprits could be brought to justice.

Dr Gill expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Noor Muqaddam and prayed that the departed soul may find an elevated place and eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

He said former ambassador Shoukat Ali, father of the victim, had done a lot for Pakistan and the tragic death of his daughter has saddened everyone.

Talking to the media, Shaukat Ali said that he was grateful to the prime minister, the interior minister, and the human rights minister for taking notice of the case.

He said that this was the PTI’s government and “we are waiting for justice”. “This is a very simple case.

There is no need to find the killer, who is in front of us. We hope we will get justice. Our daughter was innocent. I want justice, I hope justice will be done. If it is not done, I will not spare anyone,” he said.
