Bilawal lambasts his political rivals

Accuses Imran Khan, Maryam Nawaz of dragging each other’s kids into politics

ISLAMABAD:

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has lambasted both Prime Minister Imran Khan and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz for dragging each other’s children into politics and said Kashmir does not need such type of politics.

“Kashmiris need development, employment and decency in politics. There is only one party which can provide Kashmiris with what they want and that is the PPP,” Bilawal said on Friday while addressing an election gathering in Bagh district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

Reportedly, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz delivered an "anti-Semitic" statement against the children of Prime Minister Imran Khan after the premier took a shot at former premier Nawaz Sharif for attending his grandson, Junaid Safdar's, polo match in London.

Blawal said these people – the PTI and the PML-N leaders – are the ones who are either praying for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's success in the elections or inviting Modi to their weddings.

Bilawal said it is he alone who opposed Modi. “Jiyalas [PPP workers] neither accept any deal on Kashmir, nor the puppet [PTI government],” he said.

While reminding the Kashmiri people that the relations between the PPP and the Kashmiris go back to three generations, Bilawal said neither the PTI nor the PML-N increased the salaries and pensions of the government servants.

“But the PPP had increased salaries up to 120%, pensions up to 100% and the salaries of the brave soldiers who are defending the countries and fighting the terrorists up to 175%. On 27 July the jiyala prime minister of Kashmir will increase the salaries again,” he announced

He said the PPP's philosophy is to provide jobs to the youth and the PPP’s last government in Kashmir had provided over 11,000 jobs to Kashmiris.

“I will never forget the reception I got at the college ground in Bagh. The stadium where the gathering is being held was established by the PPP government in Kashmir; the road I travelled on to come to Bagh was constructed by the PPP and the bridge I crossed was also built by the PPP.

“The other governments in Kashmir did no development work for the Kashmiri people,” Bilawal said.

The PPP chief promised that the party will also establish a heart hospital to provide free treatment to the people like the medical facilities in Sindh.  “We will not leave Kashmiri people at the mercy of this puppet government or anyone like him,” he said.

While appreciating the jiyalas for holding a huge gathering in Muzaffarabad, the official statement released after the event quoted Bilawal as saying that “Modi and the puppet both are shivering and shaking after seeing such a large crowd in the PPP jalsa.”

He said the people who say the PPP is finished should come and see the charged crowd, saying the gathering showed that the only party emerging as victorious on July 25 will be the PPP.
