ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad police conducted an identification parade on Friday of three suspects from the viral sex assault video of a couple being tortured and blackmailed.

Police held the identification parade of three suspects, including two who were filming the video and one other who was guarding the room door.

According to sources, the affected couple was called to Adiala Jail to identify the suspects. Sources added that the statement regarding the identification parade of the suspects was made part of the case challan.

Police told the media that the department will seek physical remand of the three suspects again. It is pertinent to mention here that the incident had occurred two months back when Usman Mirza, along with his accomplices, barged into the room of a guest house in Sector E-11 and shot an obscene video of the woman.

The suspect continued to blackmail the couple with the video and demanded money in return and warned to post it on social media in case of non-compliance. He was later arrested along with the other accused by the Islamabad police after an uproar on social media regarding the incident.
