Bilquis Edhi is a fan of Imran Ashraf after watching him play Moosa

The philanthropist cannot get enough of his character in 'Raqs-e-Bismil'

C: Popular actor Imran Ashraf is overwhelmed after Bilquis Edhi, who can’t get enough of his performance in Raqs-e-Bismil, praised him in a video.

“I really like him,” Bilquis said in a clip shared by Imran. “I have been watching Moosa over and over again," she added. Moosa, Imran’s character from the show, is that of a conservative man carrying forward his father's patriarchal traditions by oppressing the women in his family. But things change when he falls in love with Zohra (Sarah Khan), a performer at private gatherings.

Imran dubbed Bilquis’s admiration of his character and his performance an ‘award’ in its own right and penned a heartfelt note for her. 

“Receiving prayers from and being admired by one the greatest humanitarians of all time, Mrs Abdul Sattar Edhi, Mrs Bilquis Edhi sahiba, is an award on its own and a blessing of God. You are among His favourite humans so may he keep you healthy and happy," he shared.

The highly anticipated last episode of Raqs-e-Bismil aired last week and has garnered nearly 10 million views on YouTube till the filing of this report. Viewers praised the performances of Imran and Sarah, as well as the unexpected, happy ending.

Momin Saqib, Anoushay Abbasi and Zara Sheikh also featured in the show. Raqs-e-Bismil has been written by novelist Hashim Nadeem.
