Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday congratulated the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government for providing free of cost medical treatment to about 250,439 patients under the Sehat Card Plus Programme.
"Congratulations Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. 250,439 patients treated free of cost under K-P Sehat Card Plus programme," the premier said in a tweet. "This is the Pakistan we are moving towards - that was envisioned by Allama Iqbal & Quaid-i-Azam."
On June 16, the K-P government decided to extend the scope of the Sehat Card Plus scheme to the merged tribal districts of the province in the upcoming budget of the financial year 2021-22.
Among other decisions taken ahead of the provincial budget which was due on June 18, the provincial government set a minimum wage of Rs21,000 for workers in the next fiscal year and will provide flour to people at subsidized rates.

On February 9, Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan launched the Sehat Card Plus scheme for the entire population of Mardan district.
The provincial government had also announced that it will include the coronavirus vaccination in the Sehat Insaf Card and made all treatments related to the prevailing disease absolutely free.
