QUETTA:

The opposition lawmakers in Balochistan Assembly continued a protest in Quetta’s Bijli Road police station for the second day as two rounds of talks between the protesting MPAs and home minister concluded without outcome.

On Monday the police refused to arrest the opposition lawmakers who courted arrest in the police station in connection with an FIR registered against them.

A delegation of the provincial government comprising Home Minister Zia Langau, Parliamentary Secretaries Mobeen Khilji, Bushra Rind, lawmaker Khalil George and other members went to the police station on Tuesday to meet the members of the opposition and appealed them to end the protest.
