Judicial commission approves regularisation of 7 judges

Three judges of Lahore High Court, four from Peshawar High Court. Parliamentary committee to give formal approval.

ISLAMABAD: A judicial commission formed to oversee judges’ appointments has approved regularisation of seven Peshawar and Lahore High Court judges, Express 24/7 reported on Saturday.

The decision was taken at a commission meeting, chaired by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, in Islamabad.

The regularisation of three additional judges of the Lahore High Court was approved in the meeting. The judges are Justice Sagheer Ahmed Qadri, Mohammad Qasim Khan and Justice Khwaja Imtiaz.

The four judges from Peshawar High Court are Justice Attaullah Khan, Justice Mufftahuddin, Justice Fasihul Mulk and Justice Mazhar Ali Khan.

The issue has been referred to the parliamentary committee for formal approval.
