Minister Sheikh Rashid announced that a special market will be established in Islamabad for women. Talking to a delegation of the Islamabad Women Chambers of Commerce here on Thursday, he said that 50 per cent population of the country consisted of women and policies were being made to mainstream them.
In this regard, he discussed the facilities being planned for women to run their businesses in Islamabad. Rashid said that it was imperative to involve women in the overall development of the country and several proposals have been accommodated in the current budget for the socio-economic development of women.
The minister said that loans were being given to women on a priority basis to help them expand businesses. “Further steps would be taken to facilitate businesswomen and the women chambers.
