Covid-19 claims 21 more lives in province

The provincial health department has so far conducted 5,357,960 tests for Covid-19

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 21 more lives across Punjab while 247 fresh infections were reported across the province during the past 24 hours.

According to the data shared by the spokesperson of Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD), the number of coronavirus cases in the province exceeded 343,490 while total deaths had reached 10,457.

The total recoveries across Punjab were 320,912. The P&SHD confirmed 85 new cases were reported in Lahore, one in Kasur, one in Sheikhupura, four in Nankana Sahib, 18 in Rawalpindi, two in Attock, two in Jhelum, one in Chakwal, two in Gujranwala, one in Hafizabad, four in Sialkot, 13 in Faisalabad, two in Toba Tek Singh and three in Gujrat.

Moreover, two in Jhang, seven in Sargodha, five in Khushab, 33 in Multan, one in Vehari, eight in Khanewal, one in Lodhran, seven in Muzaffargarh, 11 in Dera Ghazi Khan, three in Layyah, six in Rajanpur, 12 in Rahim Yar Khan, eight in Bahawalpur, one in Okara and eight new cases were reported in Sahiwal.

The provincial health department has so far conducted 5,357,960 tests for Covid-19. The P&SHD officials had urged the citizens to follow SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks.

The people should wash their hands with soap several times in a day to protect themselves from Covid-19.
