PU vaccination centre inaugurated

Commissioner says 42 vaccination centres established in the city.

Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Usman has inaugurated a vaccination centre set up at Punjab University (PU) Student Teacher Centre in order to provide maximum facilitation to the citizens to get vaccinated.

PU Vice Chancellor Niaz Ahmed, Pro VC Dr Saleem Mazhar, Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, Director Students Affairs Dr Muhammad Shafiq, faculty members, officials, employees and others were present on the occasion.

Speaking to the media, the commissioner said that around 42 vaccination centres had been established in the city to help people get vaccinated in a comfortable way with maximum facilities.

He further said that the government was making full efforts to keep people safe from Covid-19.

He stated that a number of vaccination centres were being established in other universities and colleges like the one established at PU.

The PU VC said the efforts of Punjab government for setting up vaccination centre at PU were commendable.

“This centre will provide the best facilities of vaccination to PU teachers, employees, students and their families.” The VC said that there was a need to follow SOPs in order to avoid the spread of Covid-19 at the premises.
