Vaccinations for registered 18 plus people to begin from June 3
NCOC chief urges citizens to register as soon as possible

National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) chief Asad Umar announced on Monday that vaccinations for registered 18 and above citizens would commence from June 3 (Thursday).
In a tweet, the federal minister urged citizens to start registering as soon as possible, adding that "this step ensured vaccination of all eligible age groups".
In today's NCOC meeting it was decided to start scheduling vaccination of registered 18 plus from thursday the 3rd of june. With this step the vaccination of all eligible age groups would be carried out. Please register as soon as possible

On May 28, the NCOC had also announced opening walk-in vaccinations for citizens aged 30 years and above from Saturday, as well as for teachers aged 18 and above.

Umar had informed that the decision to allow vaccinations for citizens aged 30 and above was taken at a meeting of the NCOC
He urged all 30+ people who have registered for the vaccination to visit any vaccination centre and get inoculated.

Pakistan reported a total of 2,117 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking the country's Covid-19 tally to 921,053.
The country's death toll climbed to 20,779 after 43 more people succumbed to the deadly disease.
Meanwhile, 1,919 patients recovered from the disease in a day taking total recoveries to 841,241. The total active Covid-19 cases across the country today were reported to be 59,033.
The current number of fully vaccinated people is 1,513,144 with 87,169 vaccines administered within the last 24 hours.
A total of 3,180,246 have been partially vaccinated so far.
